Waitaks Treehouse

First home buyers, Alastair Gair and Briohny Hooper-Gair used a modern beach-house aesthetic as inspiration for their new home in Titirangi, West Auckland. This aesthetic tied in with the bush and beach setting of the Waitakere Ranges and drove key material choices, including Oblique Weatherboard and Hardie Groove Soffit Lining.

TIP: Vertical design applications

The clean, vertical lines of one profile on its own like the Stria Cladding 405mm, establish a look of modern simplicity and delivers a bold, industrial feel to your home. A perfect design solution for larger scale walls.

The combination of 200m and 300mm Oblique Weatherboard can be used to create several different patterns. Use your imagination and design an architectural look that’s distinctive, modern and unique to you. Or go really bold and integrate with Stria Cladding for a mixed groove design.

A Modern Marvel

Designing and building a forever home on a budget requires a little “outside the box” thinking, together with some significant forward planning. For new homeowners Kirsty and Tim Walters, achieving their bespoke beachside house in Orewa for the price of a standard design took years of planning.

Halswell Farmhouse

A 1940's inspired home where the homeowner has created a beautiful livable space combining traditional and modern looks. To create a farmhouse style on the exterior, the homeowner opted for Linea Weatherboard by James Hardie, providing her with "peace of mind" that the product will "go the distance".

TIP: Want that classic look? Choose 200mm

200mm captures that timeless, classic charm with the added bonus of low maintenance. And it’s an ideal way to make smaller wall spaces look larger.

Or, looking for a modern twist on a classic profile? Go 300mm. Ideal for larger walls, this creates a look that’s confident and contemporary.

Oamaru Country House

When it came to deciding on a look and feel for their home, Mike and Kristina looked to the semi-rural location of their site for inspiration. They decided a “modern country” theme would work best, and set about choosing materials to help them evoke this idea.
